Is that a rooster cookie? If so, it looks tastier than anything I saw in Chinatown this year (not that there was a lot of rooster-themed food in the first place).
it is a rooster cookie. a cockie. it was a delicious cookie, light and crunchy, with a highclass chicken pattern, and was definitely not from chinatown. oh no. in fact it came in the mail from stellou, who procured it as part of a selection of farmyard animal cookies from eleni’s in new york. eleni’s has a special box of johnny depp cookies for the academy awards. mmm… johnny depp…
That is so funny about the sausage! You poor thing! A similar thing happened to our family once- for days we wondered what the bad smell next to the fridge was, until we found a RAW FISH IN A BAG that my Mum had forgotten about! Arrrrgh!
I have to say also, that reading your blog is even nicer now- I love being able to laugh at your stories while I’m at work! It always cheers me up!
hi bowb
Happy Chinese New Year to you! and gong xi fa cai too!
Thanks for visiting my site just then! Actually I saw the pink rose cake on your blog first and had been thinking and wondering about where in the world did you buy that cake. This was until AG found out for me. 😉
saffron: oh no, as nice as cookies can be, they will never be a replacement for cupcakes… or cake of any kind really. the idea of putting the cookies in cupcake wrapping was from martha stewart kids, as was the idea of covering them in chocolate frosting with a marshmallow hidden inside.
carla: you need cheering up at work? i thought you’d be having a ball designing away in your punk-friendly workplace. i saw a group of little punk girls walking to fox studios the other day. they were about fourteen maybe, and one of them had a miniskirt, and black boots and pink fishnet stockings. oh so cute. rock!
pinkcocoa: oh you are too kind, for i believe your site totally beats mine in the cuteness (and pinkness) stakes. hope lots more tasty pink things cross your path. 🙂
