further to the last post, i thought that i’d have to document the brave new pocky that i found at miracle supermarket. well ok, so they’re not strictly pocky, since one of them is made by morinaga, and none of them is a pretzel stick covered in icing, but the point is how much flavour can you put in a pretzel stick!?
from left to right: NY brownie; maple syrup and butter; and the surprising reverse, where the icing is on the inside.
i can’t wait to eat my pocky.

i’ll have the maple one please.
i have two bozes of pocky sitting in the third drawer at work. i feel something like a school girl when i eat it at work, people always wondering what wacky snacks i have this time.
Yum, I love pocky!
I saw some eenteresting flavours at the duty free shop in Beijing. I’d have bought some to try but they were jumbo boxes …. going for USD12. Eh.

ms marly: that’s so weird! at exactly the same time you were writing me this message, i was on flickr, on your pretz page, trying to leave you a comment about the two flavours i have tried: butter (YUM) and prawn (eh, much like those corrugated-finger prawn crackers sprinkled with msg). alas there was no comments box available.
yes, USD12 is a lot to pay for pretzels, even a lot of pretzels. however i did pay like, $4.75 for one of these pockys — i think the maple syrup one — and these are just the normal sized boxes.
welcome! i know of you!
Ahhahaha – cosmic!
$4.75 is quite a pretty penny to pay for pocky. I hope it’s at least the Made in Japan stock!
Gosh, now I’m really having a craving for strawberry pocky, the one with bits of dried strawberry in the coating. Hmm…
Thanks for the welcome! I know of you too… (duh).
