Hello
I design for print — books, magazines, posters, little cards and stickers… It’s all good.
I draw pictures, I like diagrams, I enjoy moving slabs of text around a page. I can check for appropriate apostrophe usage along the way.
I like a handmade look. A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon a working printing press from the 19th century (also, a working linotype machine with its cauldron of molten lead, and trays upon trays of wooden and metal printing blocks), and it was the highlight of my Easter vacation in the Victorian countryside, if you don’t count the roast dinner in the local tavern on the last night — pork, with gravy and applesauce, and at least half a dozen different vegetables. No crackling though.
I laid out magazines in the mid-to-late 90s — first a music and culture magazine (Juice) and then an architectural and design magazine (Monument). I miss it sometimes.
Sweet reminiscences of this golden age and offers of work should be addressed to artroom (a) ragingyoghurt.org
Thank you.
